Libre.fm?

I signed up for a libre.fm account, but to be honest, the process of signing up for the account has soured me to the idea of actually using it.

First, you go to libre.fm and click “register”.

That opens a page where you enter your email address. Just the email address. Ok, maybe they’ll send an email with a link that verifies my email address and logs me in on the “change password” page like a normal site might do.

Nope

The email is just to verify my email. And the link doesn’t show because it’s written poorly.

Cool. So I click “show html” and then I see it. Copy/paste into my browser and I’m off to the races. Page loads. Email verified. Sick, I can log in now right?

lol nope. Now they have to send another email to choose a username.

Same process as before. No link, show html, copy/paste url. Choose username. Sick that’s done. Still can’t log in though. Now I have to reset my password. That thing I never set in the first place.

Should be simple, right? lol nah. I click the link to change my password and that sends me yet another email.

This email is letting me know that someone requested a password reset on my account. It was me. I did that. Same as before though, no link, show html, copy/paste URL.

Guess what that did. It verified the request to reset my password. My password that was never set.

Now I get an email with a temporary password. Sick. I don’t need to click any links in this one, just copy/paste the temp password and I’m off to the races. Right?

Well it didn’t work.

Request password reset again.

Repeat that whole multi-email dance.

Finally get a password that works.

Log in. Go to the settings page. Set my password.

Eye that “delete account” button, because nothing about that process was pleasant or acceptable.

Yeah I might just stay on last.fm. That one has always worked.
